Ingredients:

  • 1/2 cup lentils, (soaked) and rinsed
  • 1 bay leaf
  • 4 oz mushrooms (about 1 cup)
  • 1/3 cup onion, chopped
  • 1 tbsp avocado or coconut oil or butter
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 tbsp wine or lemon juice
  • 1/2 cup veggie or chicken broth
  • 1 tbsp miso, Worcestershire, BBQ, or fish sauce
  • 1/2 cup rolled oats
  • 1 tsp fennel, (ground or seeds)
  • 1/2 tsp sea salt
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper
  • 1 tbsp fresh thyme (or 1/4 tsp dried)
  • 1/4 cup fresh basil, minced
